Job Summary:
The Senior Engineer, Production Operations will play a key role in enhancing asset capability, ensuring safe and efficient operations, and optimizing asset deliverability within the Sarawak Operations Team. This position focuses on developing processes for failure root cause analysis, loss reporting, and improving well operational integrity. The role also involves active engagement in managing unplanned downtime (UPD) and ensuring compliance with safety standards while supporting production forecasts and maintenance schedules.
Job Responsibilities:
- Own the asset Unplanned Downtime (UPD) processes and minimize its impact.
- Engage stakeholders to identify and quantify loss events, improving operational processes to maximize asset deliverability.
- Prioritize corrective or improvement works for critical equipment, including structural, process, and pipeline integrity.
- Participate in screening proposed activities for operational impact and provide leadership during design and delivery phases.
- Direct Process Safety Management activities to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Facilitate SIMOPS and MOPO to manage UPD impacts.
- Contribute to the asset 90-day integrated planning process to reduce NPT and maintain forecast production.
- Mobilize offshore for investigations of sub-standard conditions, leading unplanned shut-downs and incidents.
- Receive direction from Operations Manager and Senior Superintendent, managing own workload accordingly.
- Ensure facilities operate safely and efficiently in line with company manuals, procedures, and industry practices.
- Contribute to asset integrity, OSRMS, and IOAIA processes, ensuring compliance with Safety Case requirements.
- Provide leadership to resolve troubleshooting and operational challenges in a remote environment.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of offshore and/or onshore oil/gas experience.
- Experience in troubleshooting programs and work scopes in remote operational environments.
- Proven ability to manage high-priority tasks in a stressful environment, ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Experience in working with multi-discipline teams and handling SIMOPS risk interactions.
- Ability to prioritize activities to meet business objectives effectively.
- Autonomous with a positive, flexible work ethic and strong interpersonal skills.
- BOSIET and AME medical certifications required.
- Proven analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong presentation, numeracy, and literacy skills.
- Frequent offshore travel and extended durations required for certain operational tasks.
