Job Title: Ferry Operations Specialist
Location: Lagos, Nigeria (with periodic travel)
Duration: Long-term mission (48 months)
Key Responsibilities:
- Update the Ferry Operations Plan (FOP) for the local urban transport network, including maintenance aspects.
- Develop and establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for ferry operations.
- Design and implement a Vessel Industry Transition Project (VITP) aimed at improving fleet operations.
- Support the start-up and implementation of ferry transport operations.
Qualifications & Experience Required:
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline from an internationally recognized university or institute.
- Professional Experience:
- Minimum 15 years of experience in transport operations planning, preferably within the ferry or maritime sector.
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience managing or supporting high-capacity ferry operations.
- Previous involvement in projects in developing countries, especially those funded by international financial institutions (IFIs), is preferred.
- Must be fluent in both oral and written English.
