Scope of Work

OVERVIEW OF ROLE

The Operation Supervisor is responsible for supporting the Project Operation Team across various execution sites involved in project activities. This includes overseeing the preparation of equipment and materials for offshore deployment in alignment with project requirements and procedures. Key responsibilities include equipment checks, rigging preparation, structure dressing prior to loadouts, assistance with Site Integration Tests, and general coordination with local subcontractors and the Fabrication Yard/Logistic Base. The Operation Supervisor may also be called upon to support other tasks as directed by different project departments to ensure smooth and de-risked project execution.

HSEQ RESPONSIBILITIES

All personnel are expected to actively contribute to creating a positive HSEQ (Health, Safety, Environment & Quality) culture, adhering to local HSEQ codes and practices. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Reporting all undesired events and safety observations.
  • Reporting non-conformances and unsafe conditions using the appropriate systems.
  • Leading by example and participating in the intervention program to address safety concerns.

SPECIFIC KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACTIVITIES

  • Assist the Operation Manager and Engineers as directed.
  • Ensure the proper preparation of project equipment for loadout and offshore deployment, following project documents, procedures, and specifications.
  • Perform equipment safety checks and report any defects or potential issues immediately.
  • Progress the work scope according to Task Plans and Approved Procedures.
  • Assist with maintenance and repair of equipment as required.
  • Participate in project risk assessments and take proactive measures to manage risks.
  • Maintain all rigging and ensure all equipment certifications are up to date.
  • Assist in launching and recovering trenchers, PLETs, and other project equipment.
  • Oversee deck safety and manage personnel involved in deck operations.
  • Delegate rigging tasks and ensure readiness of equipment for loadouts.
  • Support the Logistic and Material Control departments in identifying and preparing equipment for shipping.

  • Follow company standards and procedures for the Operation Function.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • College-level or professional qualification in disciplines such as Rope Access, Diving, Rigging & Lifting, Fabrication, or STCW.
  • Fluent in English, with substantial experience working in Africa.
  • Strong familiarity with modern communication tools.
  • Experience in Oil & Gas Offshore works.
  • Valid Rope Access Level 3 and Coxswain certification.
  • Valid offshore medical certificate and survival course, suitable for the geographical area of work.
  • Completion of PASS school induction and other company familiarization prior to mobilization.
