Duration: 12-month contract (extendable depending on project requirements)
Work Arrangement: Full-time, office-based at Engineering Contractor HQ
Project Type: Offshore Oil & Gas (Topsides / Brownfield / Greenfield)
Key Responsibilities:
- Review ITB documents, perform site surveys, and incorporate the technical details for the preparation of Mechanical Engineering deliverables.
- Prepare Mechanical Engineering deliverables in timely manner and in compliance with the project specifications, codes, and standards (e.g., Mechanical Design Basis, Equipment Specifications & Datasheet, Equipment GA Drawings, etc.).
- Participate in technical meetings/ discussions including Inter Discipline Checks (IDC),
- as well as supporting other disciplines in project execution.
- Perform Vendor Data review for incorporation into project deliverables.
- Prepare RFQ, Material Requisition, Technical Clarifications and Technical Bid Evaluation.
Requirements:
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in performing engineering design for oil & gas, petrochemical, oleochemical, or general industries.
- Conversant with international design codes and standards such as ASME, API, NFPA.
- Possess fundamentals of mechanical static and rotating equipment design (e.g., Boiler,
- Heat Exchanger, Pump, Compressor), as well as firefighting system.
- Must have a strong knowledge of international mechanical equipment design codes & standards such as API 650, API 620, API 653 and UL142 for storage tank, ASME VIII Div. 1 & 2 for pressure vessel and ANSI B73.1, ISO 5199, API 610, API 676 and API 682 and for pump.
- Good command of English and familiar with Microsoft Office software.
- Able to communicate clearly and effectively with all levels of employees within the organization, as well as with the Clients, Vendors and Contractors.
- Experience in using engineering tools such as PV Elite and HTRI is an added advantage.
