Job Purpose
Responsible for managing commissioning activities for hull and marine systems, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant execution of system start-up and operational readiness. The role covers yard and offshore commissioning, system integration, and successful handover to operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee commissioning scope for hull systems including marine systems, ballast, bilge, firefighting, cargo handling, and mooring systems.
- Develop commissioning procedures and participate in commissioning schedule development.
- Supervise mechanical completion, pre-commissioning, and commissioning tests for hull systems.
- Conduct and lead system walkdowns, functional testing, and integration with topside systems.
- Interface with classification societies (ABS, DNV, BV, etc.) and regulatory bodies during commissioning.
- Manage punch list closure and system readiness for handover.
- Track and update commissioning progress in CMS tools and report to project leadership.
- Ensure all commissioning activities comply with project HSE requirements and marine standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Marine, Mechanical, or Naval Architecture).
- 10–15 years’ experience in commissioning of hull/marine systems for offshore floating projects (FPSO, FLNG, FSO).
- Strong knowledge of CMS tools (WinPCS, ICAPS, etc.).
- Familiar with API, ABS, IMO, and other marine-related standards.
- Experience in vendor management and interface with shipyards and classification societies.
