Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Safety Officer to join a high-profile FPSO maintenance and revamping campaign offshore Angola. This is a rotational freelance assignment (28/28) with a leading global contractor. The ideal candidate has a strong background in offshore HSE, excellent knowledge of FPSO operations, and the ability to drive safety excellence across multicultural teams.
Job Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with all safety standards and offshore regulations.
- Conduct regular HSE inspections, toolbox talks, and risk assessments.
- Monitor Permit to Work (PTW) processes and SIMOPS activities.
- Report and investigate incidents, near-misses, and unsafe behaviors.
- Support daily operations by promoting safety culture and awareness.
- Liaise with offshore teams and management on safety performance and improvements.
- Maintain accurate documentation and HSE reporting records.
Job Requirements
- NEBOSH or equivalent HSE certification (mandatory).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in offshore O&G or FPSO projects.
- Proven ability in managing PTW systems, audits, and SIMOPS coordination.
- Fluent in English
- Strong communication and leadership skills with multicultural crew.
- Physically fit and medically cleared for offshore work.
