Job Summary:
We are looking for a Senior QA/QC Engineer with more than 7 years of experience to join our onshore brownfield gas development project in South Sumatra, Indonesia, scheduled to start in January 2025. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in offshore and onshore QA/QC activities, with a focus on design and construction quality assurance and control. This role offers a direct contract with our end client and a long-term opportunity.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and manage the Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) systems for onshore brownfield gas development projects.
- Lead and supervise all QA/QC activities during the construction, installation, and commissioning phases of the project.
- Ensure that all project deliverables meet the required standards of quality and adhere to design specifications, codes, and industry regulations.
- Prepare and review quality control plans, inspection reports, and test plans for various phases of the project.
- Conduct audits, inspections, and reviews to assess compliance with established QA/QC procedures.
- Coordinate and lead the resolution of any quality-related issues or non-conformance reports (NCRs).
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of subcontractors and suppliers to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Conduct training and provide guidance to the project team and contractors on QA/QC best practices and procedures.
- Provide oversight on the testing and commissioning processes to ensure quality requirements are met.
- Maintain and ensure proper documentation and records of all QA/QC activities, including reports, certificates, and approvals.
- Monitor materials, equipment, and systems for compliance with quality standards throughout the project.
- Assist in the preparation of project reports for senior management and stakeholders regarding QA/QC performance.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards in all QA/QC activities.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or related field).
- More than 7 years of experience in QA/QC engineering, with substantial offshore and onshore experience.
- In-depth knowledge of QA/QC processes, industry standards, and regulations (e.g., ISO, ASME, API, ASTM).
- Experience in quality assurance and quality control activities for large-scale energy projects, particularly brownfield gas developments.
- Strong background in inspection, testing, and commissioning procedures.
- Experience in managing non-conformance reports (NCRs) and implementing corrective actions.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to lead teams and work effectively with contractors and clients.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex quality issues.
- Proficiency with QA/QC software, document management systems, and data analysis tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare detailed reports and communicate with senior management.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Willingness to be based in South Sumatra, Indonesia, for the duration of the project.
