Scope of Work

Role Overview

The Regulatory Officer is responsible for monitoring, validating, and reporting all regulatory and permit compliance obligations across project activities. This role ensures regulatory data accuracy, tracks regulatory changes, and supports internal and external compliance reporting to mitigate non-compliance risks.


Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update all regulatory and permit compliance records.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and identify changes impacting company operations.
  • Coordinate internal data collection for compliance reporting and submissions.
  • Support regulatory audits and reviews by preparing accurate documentation.
  • Report compliance findings and potential non-compliances to senior regulatory personnel.
  • Liaise with government portals and regulatory platforms for reporting submissions.
  • Work closely with regulatory, permitting, HSE, operations, legal, and project teams.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, International Relations, Public Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in regulatory compliance, permitting, or regulatory administration.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory and permitting processes within the energy or oil & gas sector.
  • Experience using government digital reporting systems and regulatory portals.
  • High attention to detail with strong documentation and reporting capabilities.
  • Proficient in MS Office with the ability to prepare structured compliance reports.
  • Strong integrity, confidentiality awareness, and ability to work cross-functionally.
