Lead front-end engineering and development planning for an offshore gas development project.
Support the asset maturation roadmap by converting exploration / development opportunities into commercially viable production concepts.
Manage concept screening and selection for offshore development options, including topsides, fixed platforms, FPSO-related solutions, and subsea tie-back concepts.
Oversee Pre-FEED / FEED activities and coordinate external engineering consultants, FEED contractors, and third-party technical specialists.
Coordinate multidisciplinary inputs across subsurface, wells, drilling, facilities engineering, operations, commercial, and finance teams.
Support stage-gate reviews, technical assurance, project sanction readiness, and investment decision preparation.
Lead or support technical input for work programme, budget planning, corporate business planning, CAPEX/OPEX estimates, and project risk assessments.
Define and review key engineering deliverables including Basis of Design, PFDs, P&IDs, heat balances, preliminary layouts, specifications, and datasheets.
Support preparation of technical specifications and datasheets for critical long-lead equipment such as compressors, meters, and other key production equipment.
Develop realistic project schedules and cost estimates, including Class 2 cost estimate input where applicable.
Participate in risk and safety reviews including HAZID, HAZOP, ENVID, and other early-stage assurance activities.
Liaise with internal stakeholders, project partners, contractors, consultants, certification bodies, and relevant authorities as required.
Ensure development concepts are technically robust, commercially viable, safe, and aligned with business objectives.
Requirements
Degree in Engineering.
Minimum 15 years’ experience in field developments, operations, or engineering design within an E&P / upstream oil and gas environment.
Proven experience in Pre-Developments and/or Developments, preferably involving marginal, greenfield, or brownfield assets.
Experience working on a field development project from early stage, including Pre-FEED and FEED.
Strong understanding of offshore production facilities, gas development, concept selection, and FID / project sanction process.
Technical understanding of subsurface, wells, drilling, production, and facilities engineering requirements.
