Scope of Work


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare drilling programs, well schematics, casing and cementing designs, and other engineering documents.
  • Perform detailed simulations for hydraulics, torque & drag, swab/surge, and well control scenarios.
  • Collaborate with geologists, completions engineers, and offshore supervisors to ensure fit-for-purpose well design.
  • Assist in the procurement of long lead items and the technical evaluation of tenders.
  • Conduct DWOP reviews, risk assessments, and implement lessons learned into upcoming operations.
  • Track daily drilling performance, analyse NPT, and recommend optimisations to improve well delivery.
  • Generate End of Well Reports (EOWR) and regulatory submissions to PETRONAS and MPM.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Malaysian citizen.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in drilling engineering, with a proven track record in offshore operations.
  • Prior exposure to well planning in offshore production or infill drilling programs in Malaysian waters.
  • Proficient in Landmark (Compass, StressCheck, WellPlan) or equivalent drilling software.
  • Familiarity with PETRONAS standards, including MPM reporting and PSC requirements.
  • Valid IWCF (Level 4 preferred) and offshore survival certifications (BOSIET, H2S, OGUK Medical).
  • Strong analytical thinking, documentation accuracy, and cross-functional teamwork skills.
