Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Lead Process Engineer for a short-term assignment to support engineering activities in China. The role will focus on leading process engineering deliverables, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring technical compliance throughout the project phase.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the process engineering team, ensuring timely delivery of project milestones.
- Review and approve process engineering deliverables, including PFDs, P&IDs, H&MBs, data sheets, and technical reports.
- Conduct process simulations and analyses to validate design integrity and operability.
- Provide technical input for procurement, construction, and commissioning teams.
- Interface with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders to resolve technical issues.
- Ensure compliance with international codes, standards, and project specifications.
- Support HAZOP, SIL, and other safety and operability reviews.
- Mentor junior engineers and foster a collaborative team environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Chemical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 12–15 years’ process engineering experience
- Proven track record in oil & gas, petrochemical, or FPSO/FLNG projects within an EPC/EPCIC environment.
- Strong knowledge of process simulation tools (e.g., HYSYS, Aspen Plus).
- Experience with FEED and/or detailed engineering deliverables.
- Familiarity with international standards (API, ASME, IEC, etc.).
- Excellent communication and coordination skills with multinational teams.
- Ability to mobilize quickly and work on-site in China for the assignment duration.
