Job Summary

Responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all lifting operations on site, ensuring safe execution in a port or marine environment. This role is critical in managing heavy lifts, crane activities, and compliance with lifting standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise all lifting operations including crane activities and rigging
  • Review and approve lifting plans, method statements, and risk assessments
  • Ensure all lifting equipment is certified and inspected
  • Coordinate with crane operators, riggers, and signalmen
  • Monitor critical lifts and ensure safe execution at all times
  • Enforce compliance with lifting standards and site safety procedures
  • Stop unsafe lifting activities immediately
  • Maintain lifting records, reports, and documentation

Requirements

  • Valid Lifting Supervisor certification (recognized by local authorities)
  • Minimum 5 years experience in lifting operations
  • Proven experience in port, marine, or heavy construction environment
  • Strong knowledge of cranes, rigging, and lifting procedures
  • Ability to read and interpret lifting plans and load calculations
  • Hands-on and detail-oriented
