Key Responsibilities:
• Assist Lead Process Engineer and ensure project deliverables are in compliance with
the relevant codes, standards, regulations, and project specifications.
• Act as overall focal point with the clients, licensors & vendors, and responsible for the
timely delivery of process engineering deliverables.
• Provide process engineering inputs to other disciplines and participate in design reviews
or workshops.
• Support the PSM and MCI Team for the execution of Safety and MCI Studies, by
providing technical inputs and recommendations.
• Mentor team members in the aspect of process engineering design and problem solving.
• Assist BD Team in estimating the required manhours for the potential projects or tenders.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
• 7 years of experience in oil & gas and petrochemical industry, with extensive involvement
in Feasibility Study, FEED, Detailed Design and EPCC projects.
• Proficient in performing process engineering activities/ deliverables such as Process
Simulation, Design Basis, Operations Philosophy, P&ID, HMB, Cause & Effect Matrix.
• Strong fundamentals of engineering design of unit operations (e.g., Pumps,
Compressors, Separators, Scrubbers, Heat Exchangers).
• Well-versed in the area of Safety and MCI Studies (e.g., HAZOP, SIL, FERA, RBI).
• Familiar with engineering codes and standards (e.g., ASME, API, IEC, Petronas PTS).
• Competent in using software tools (e.g., HYSYS, Pipesim, Flarenet, PIPENET, PHAST).
• Experience in plant commissioning and operation is an added advantage.
