- Design and Drafting:
- You’ll be responsible for preparing detailed E&I designs using Aveva E3D software. This includes creating schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts.
- Collaborate with other design disciplines (such as piping, structural, and mechanical) to ensure seamless integration of E&I components into overall plant or facility designs.
2. Instrumentation and Control Systems:
- Develop and design control systems, instrumentation loops, and field devices.
- Specify and select appropriate instruments, sensors, and control elements based on project requirements.
3. Electrical Systems:
- Design electrical distribution systems, including power distribution, lighting, grounding, and cable tray layouts.
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards (such as NEC, IEC, or local regulations).
4. Instrumentation Systems:
- Create instrumentation layouts, including instrument location plans, hook-up diagrams, and loop diagrams.
- Understand process instrumentation (sensors, transmitters, control valves) and their integration into the overall system.
5. Project Coordination:
- Work closely with project engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to meet project deadlines and deliverables.
- Participate in design reviews and provide input for optimization and efficiency.
6. Software Proficiency:
- Proficiency in Aveva E3D is essential. This software allows for 3D modeling, intelligent P&ID integration, and efficient collaboration across disciplines.
- Familiarity with other design tools (such as AutoCAD, SmartPlant Instrumentation, or similar) may also be beneficial.
