Scope of Work

Accountabilities and Responsibilities

Project Management and Coordination

 This position is to support Asean Regional Projects (Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam and

Others) based in KL office and lead team of engineers. Require to travel to overseas for short

durations to support ongoing projects / tenders.

 Lead the works in accordance with site specific HSEQ Construction Methodologies, Risk

Assessments, Site Rules and Keller Policies and Procedures.

 Assist Design Manager in managing a design team.

 Collaborate with Bid Managers and Project Managers, site teams, and clients to ensure

seamless integration of geotechnical designs into Business Development process and

Construction activities, after securing projects.

 Site visits during bid process as and when required, construction phase ensuring the designs are implemented.

 Understanding and managing client’s requirements and his/her obligations in the

development of a building design.

 Ensuring the design process recognises current legislation, standards and codes of practice.

 Ensuring design information is of the right quality and keeps pace with project timescales


Stakeholder Communication and Client Management

 Act as the primary technical interface for clients, addressing their concerns and aligning

designs with their expectations and project goals.

 Communicate complex geotechnical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders and

support business development efforts with technical inputs (both internal & external).

 Visit site regularly to train and create buy-in from site personnel to promote quality and good practices.

 Promote and safeguard the reputation & positive image of the Company.


Risk Assessment and Mitigation

 Conduct geotechnical risk assessments to identify potential challenges and propose

mitigation strategies.

 Ensure that designs consider site-specific risks, environmental factors, and constructability

issues to avoid delays or additional costs.

 Preparing detailed investigation report for any incidents related to technical issue.

 Review with Business Development Manager project closing report and develop future

improvement plans / strategies to reduce risk(s).


Innovation and Continuous Improvement

 Stay updated with advancements in geotechnical engineering and construction technologies, incorporating innovative solutions into projects.

 Lead initiatives for continuous improvement within the design team, enhancing productivity

and adopting sustainable engineering practices.


General

 Using advanced Geotechnical software used by Keller Group.

 Involved in society work, including writing papers to seminars.

 Travel occasionally to overseas offices and participate in global expertise groups.

 Lead, develop and provide training to the team of Engineers.

 Perform any other ad hoc duties as assigned by superior.


Educational, Safety or Professional Qualifications:

 Professional Degree in Civil Engineering and Master Degree in Geotechnical


Length and Types of Working Experience Required:

 At least 5years of working experience in related industry
