I joined the manufacturing industry as production executive at pharmaceutical company and process engineer at foam manufacturing company. Both my previous works allowed me to surround myself with machines. My roles were to help the machines when they were sick and need the attention (find solution to their problems and also improve the performances). My team and I have successfully setup and run new production line equipped with new extruder purchased from Italy. Furthermore, my team and I have also won the third place at the company's Lean Kaizen competition by applying the lean manufacturing project at the production department. The thought on the plastics wastes produced from factories at my previous job has lead me to explore further on waste management in the industries. I did research work on turning the combined plastic-biomass waste into hydrogen production. The process has been modelled using Aspen Plus and MATLAB. Then, the model was validated with experimental data from literatures.
