Ir Nazaruddin is a conscientious person, who always pays attention to detail. He is hardworking, creative, quick to pick-up new skills and eager to learn from others. He also has lots of ideas and enthusiasm. Under his belt, Ir Nazaruddin has 17 years’ work experience in the oil and gas industry, particularly in the exploration and production sector. Ir Nazaruddin’s roles are mainly in engineering and he have performed various feasibility studies, conceptual design, front end engineering design, basic design and detailed design. He is currently with Toyo Engineering & Construction as an electrical engineer and involved with projects by PRPC Utilities and Facilities at Pengerang Integrated Complex and Lotte Chemical Titan. Prior to this, he was with MIE Offshore Solutions as a senior electrical engineer, whereby he was seconded to Halliburton Bayan Petroleum; an alliance between PETRONAS Carigali (PETRONAS subsidiary), Asia Energy Services (Halliburton subsidiary) and Dialog D&P (Dialog subsidiary). He was involved with engineering, procurement, construction, installation & commissioning (EPCIC) of mobile offshore production unit (MOPU). Previously, he was involved with tie-in project to the world’s first floating liquefied natural gas vessel; PETRONAS FLNG. He was also involved with PETRONAS-Shell joint-venture project on enhanced oil recovery (Malaysia Economic Transformation Programme’s Entry Point Project) and PETRONAS-Schlumberger alliance project on production enhancement. Ir Nazaruddin is profound in offshore power generation and distribution systems. His accomplishments include low power wellhead platform, prefabricated substation, generator (engine-driven and turbine-driven), thermoelectric generator, solar power system, motor control centre (MCC), switchboard/switchgear, integrated motor control system (IMCS), transformer, uninterruptible power supply (UPS), lighting, submarine cable, electrical submersible pump (ESP), heating, ventilation & air conditioning (HVAC), fire suppression system, etc. Prior to becoming an electrical engineer, Ir Nazaruddin was an Instrument/System Engineer, specialising in metering system. He was responsible to coordinate validation and recertification of metering systems, and monitor metering activities of PSC partner; Sabah Shell Petroleum Company. He also managed electrical & instrumentation workshop services contract and rendered technical support for operations and maintenance of electrical & instrumentation system. He is familiar with process monitoring control system (PMSC), safety instrumented system (SIS) and fire & gas systems.
