Independent, knowledgeable and competent HSE professional with over 43 years experience in the safety and petroleum industry from HSE Advisor to Project HSE Manager, HSE Engineer and Senior HSE Consultant for "World Wide Safety Company". I am considered dependable, straight shooting and resourceful with compelling communicating skills and a "no nonsense" approach towards safety including "talking and walking the line". With over twenty-five years overseas experience working in hostile and hazardous environments in fifteen countries in the Middle East and Africa as well as sixteen years as the Senior OH&S Officer in Newfoundland, Canada, my primary objective is now to impart my knowledge, experiences, lessons learned and mitigation practices unto management, workers and junior safety professionals to assist them in their development. Being a "Competent Toastmaster" since 1983 and having started two consulting companies to assist and train both workers and management with powerful presentation skills has allowed me the privilege to make safety presentations worldwide. The practical and effectual presentation skills that are required to ensure effective communications are tools that have been developed over time and is an area that my company strives to impart when working with clients. Toastmasters has also given me the tools to become an international speaker on safety and waste management. My safety multinational exposure includes working and training clients in countries such as Canada, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Chad, U.A.E., Iran, Angola, Algeria, Congo, Ghana, Libya, Thailand, Kurdistan, Iraq and Brunei.
