Dear Hiring Manager,

I am writing today to express my interest in joining your company as Flow Assurance Engineer. I am looking forward to apply my skills and abilities in a challenging, growth-oriented environment in your company while continuing to build my career and academic foundation.

I am a registered Graduate Engineer with Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM).

I am a Master of Engineering degree holder in Chemical Engineering and graduated from Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) in 2019. My master project was a collaborative project with PETRONAS on Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR), a thesis/project entitled Oil Recovery Performance in the Co-Injection Flooding of CO₂ and Non-Polar Chemical Modifiers using Micromodel System. I also had published two papers regarding EOR, a paper on Co-Injection of Carbon Dioxide and Non-Polar Chemical Modifiers and another paper on Polymer Flooding and I also had some exposure of the oil and gas industry while attending Reservoir Management and Surveillance Summit in Kota Kinabalu in 2017 during my master study. I also possess a Bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering from UMS, graduated in 2015 and had taken Petroleum Downstream Processing as my elective course during the final semester of my bachelor degree study.

My previous experiences have allowed me to develop understanding of Aspen HYSYS process simulation while working as a tutor in UMS and in fluid mechanics while working as lab demonstrator in UMS as well as skills in research and development while doing my masters and internship. I am eager for the opportunity to learn from your organization and to apply my critical thinking, interpersonal and data analysis skills.

My focus, as an aspiring professional, is to utilize my strength in chemical process management to make a positive impact on the organization as a whole. I enjoy gathering, organizing and analysing information, working in groups and contributing to project strategies. I believe these skills will be beneficial while working as flow assurance engineer while further enhancing the excellent reputation of your company.

I previously worked as Sales Co-Ordinator at Alam Medik Sdn. Bhd., and Protégé Trainee-Operation Executive at Primabumi Sdn. Bhd., with job scope involving procurement, purchasing and supply, through which I have acquired management, organisational, multi-tasking and communication skills.
