Over and above my attached resume I can add that I am a multi-talented engineer with excellent technical engineering skills (qualified and specialist in instrumentation and control and very comfortable in electrical mechanical and process disciplines). My external qualifications include an Electrical Engineering Bachelor’s degree, a TUV certified safety Engineer, an Automation and Controls (Diploma) and a diploma in Project Management. In addition, I have completed and maintained certifications such as Operational Excellence, Project development and execution process, Operations Stewardship and Operational capability, Safety Instrumented Systems and others.

23 of my 30 plus year career have been in the oil and gas industry and specifically in the engineering discipline and have spent time in two LNG facilities, this as a Control System commissioning engineer at Esso’s Bonny river LNG and as I&C lead engineer at Angola LNG plant. I have worked around the world at various Chevron, Total, BP, SBM, Exxon, ENI, Fina, Elf, Sonangol and other facilities and in a multi-cultured environment with different sets of challenges/opportunities.

I am an effective supervisor/manager and have good communication and teamwork skill sets, this to ensure efficiency and development of workforce so as to achieve company goals and objectives. Typical head count reports withing leadership roles have been 10-20 engineers/analysts and CAPEX/OPEX budgets have been $20-50MM.

In general, I have excellent all-round technical skills/experience in –

1.       Onshore and offshore O&G production including LNG and high H2S fields. This spans facilities in Africa, Kazakhstan and USA.

2.       Project Management from conception to commission and handover including alternative assessments, FEED and Detail Engineering, Construction, Contract Management and document control.

3.       Automation engineering, sizing and application engineering and this includes primary and final element selection and sizing. I am Instrucalc software proficient.

4.       Control Systems and DCS/PLC/SIS & F&G selection, configuration, commissioning and maintenance.

5.       Process Controls and use of Autotuner, APC, AMS, Plant State Suite etc.

6.       Electrical engineering and design and this include power generation, transmission, distribution, protection and sizing. (ETAP proficient). Hazardous area determination and equipment selection.

7.       Process Safety Management and very familiar and knowledgeable with PHA/LOPA/SOA/IOW/HIPPS processes. This included the MOC/SEC/RCA processes. I am ExSilentia software proficient.

8.       Process Engineering, controls, and the associated equipment selection for hazardous areas.

9.       Mechanical equipment and material selections.

10.    PSI documentation accuracy. This includes P&ID’s, Data Sheets, C&E’s, single line diagrams, area classification etc.

11.    PCN compliance and cyber security awareness.

12.    Knowledge of TAR’s and completed 6 in my career with Chevron where I was a core team member of the TAR team. Focus items have been end of life equipment, maintenance and reliability (MEI/process) testing etc.

13.    Chevron, Shell, Exxon, Total, NEC, ISA, API, GOST and IEC Stds.

All the above skills/experience have been developed from first hand involvement in engineering/operations project solutions.
