About
I am a highly motivated and enthusiastic professional structural engineer with a PhD in Civil Engineering majoring Structural and Earthquake Engineering with more than 10 years of industrial and research experience; proficient in modeling and nonlinear analysis of structures using commercial software packages such as OpenSees, Sap 2000 and ETABS, etc.; I obtained my PhD in 2018 from Sharif University of Technology, one of the top technical universities in the Middle East. In My PhD research a practical performance-based optimization method (Adaptive method) is introduced for optimal cross-sectional distribution of steel moment resisting frames (SMRFs) under earthquake excitations. In order to do so OpenSees was linked to Matlab and the optimization method was coded in Matlab which uses OpenSees as a structural software. My research has led to develop a new lateral load for equivalent static force design method. During my graduate studies, I have developed my knowledge and expertise in modeling and design of structures using various finite element packages such as OpenSees, SAP2000, Etabs preparing design sheets. Especially I have lots of experience in OpenSees modeling and also training courses, workshops and book ("Application of OpenSees in Modeling and Analysis of Structures"). My interests include Structural and Earthquake Engineering, Optimization, Performance-based Seismic Design, Finite Element Modeling, Design of Structures, Masonry Infill Walls, Incremental Dynamic Analysis. As a licensed professional engineer, I have participated in several research group as a designer expert and also I have managed several projects as executive director or project manager in Tehran municipality. Especially as deputy of mitigation and risk reduction in TDMMO (Tehran disaster mitigation and
