I am currently serving as a Project Development Engineer with Bureau Veritas, supporting Shell Malaysia Trading. In this role, I manage the CAPEX portfolio for Shell, doing planning, executing, and overseeing projects of varying sizes and complexities. I am involved in the entire project lifecycle, from the initial 'Identify' phase to project completion. My responsibilities covers engineering and technical aspects, as well as involvement in contract-related activities and financial management, contributing to the successful development of projects.
With over 13 years of extensive experience in the oil and gas industry, I have held various roles, including Senior Project Engineer, Project Manager, and Field Engineer. My experience with EPCC contractors like Chiyoda and JFE Engineering Japan has allowed me to work on projects with major clients such as Petron, Petronas, and Shell. While my client-side experience with Shell Malaysia Trading has further enriched my understanding of project development and execution. I graduated in 2011 from Tokushima University in Japan. My career began at Perodua Manufacturing as a Production Engineer. Seeking greater opportunities in the oil and gas industry, I joined Chiyoda Malaysia as a Junior Project Engineer, progressing to Senior Project Engineer and for some project took role as Project Manager. After the company closed its business, I joined JFE Engineering Japan as a Project Field Engineer in Tsukuba, Japan. I returned to Malaysia in 2019 and joined Shell Malaysia Trading as a Project Development Engineer, and subsequently transitioned to Bureau Veritas in the same role.
I hold a Professional Technologist Certification (Ts.) and am currently pursuing the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, underscoring my dedication to continuous learning and professional growth.
