Job Overview
Responsible for leading and supporting terminal Engineering Maintenance & Repair (M&R) activities for Rubber Tyred Gantry (RTG) and port terminal cranes. The role ensures equipment reliability, operational efficiency, and high levels of customer satisfaction by driving preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver and maintain terminal M&R operations for RTGs and cranes.
- Lead the RTG Maintenance Team in planning and executing preventive and corrective maintenance tasks.
- Monitor and analyze equipment performance, reliability, and outstanding repair actions.
- Oversee and perform specialized repairs and troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
- Supervise subcontractors’ on-site work to ensure safety and quality compliance.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions to address recurring technical issues.
- Drive process improvements, automation, and performance optimization within maintenance operations.
- Support documentation, reporting, and performance tracking for all RTG and crane systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in port terminal, crane, or heavy equipment maintenance.
- Strong technical knowledge of RTG and terminal crane systems (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic).
- Proven ability to lead teams in fast-paced and dynamic operational environments.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
- Proficient in English (written and spoken).
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
