Role Overview
The role involves handling accounts payable/receivable, JV accounting, and supporting PSC
reporting. This position requires attention to detail, strong compliance discipline, and the
ability to manage multiple stakeholder requirements in a fast-paced operator environment.
Key Responsibilities
● Handle accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accurate processing of invoices,
vendor payments, and staff claims.
● Support PSC-related reporting, including cost allocation, tracking
recoverable/non-recoverable expenses, and coding accuracy.
● Assist with JV billings, cash calls, and partner reconciliations.
● Maintain general ledger entries, reconciliations, and monthly closing activities.
● Ensure compliance with PETRONAS guidelines, tax, and local regulatory requirements.
● Support financial audits, providing required schedules and reconciliations.
● Work closely with procurement and contracts teams to align financial records with
commitments.
● Contribute to process improvements in finance operations, ensuring efficiency and
accuracy.
Requirements
● Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline; professional qualifications (ACCA,
CIMA, CPA) an advantage.
● 8–12 years of accounting experience, preferably in oil & gas or large-scale EPCC projects.
● Familiarity with PSC reporting, JV accounting, and PETRONAS requirements.
● Strong hands-on skills in AP/AR, GL, and reconciliations.
● Good knowledge of Malaysian financial regulations and tax compliance.
● Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems (SAP/Oracle).
● Strong attention to detail, organisational, and communication skills.
