Job Responsibilities:
1. To develop, configure and optimize process facilities design from inception. This includes the development of process simulations with optimized process scheme, high accuracy; and prepare the process simulation report or technical notes.
2. Take pro-active approach in resolutions related to existing assets, by carrying all the stake holders along while providing acceptable solutions within the time frame. The stake holders could be internal BAB operations personnel, Clients, Vendors, external Engineering consultants, Sub-Contractors, Classification society and 3rd party reviewers.
3. Development of PFDs, P&IDs, PSDs, SAFE Charts, Cause and Effect Matrix, specifications, data sheets, calculations, and relevant reports, technical note and philosophy.
4. Analyse process facility design using computer simulation tools, software and spreadsheets.
5. To manage, monitor and verify detailed engineering works provided by other party (i.e., detailed engineering consultant) to make sure their drawings and documents submission meet project engineering deliverables and requirement.
6. Process Engineering department/team management.
7. To manage and coordinate interdisciplinary interface requirement that provide necessary technical input to other engineering team.
8. To meet project cost optimization by providing engineering design that fit for purpose with minimum cost thus lowering CAPEX and OPEX project expenditure.
9. Prepare or review MDR and CTR (Cost Time Resource).
10. Attend engineering workshop including HAZID, Design reviews, HAZOP, SIL, etc., and contribute to the close out of workshop recommendations.
11. To assist with the refurbishment and conversion scope for contractor in FPSO conversion project to make sure all necessary process modification works, upgrading works or new installation works are covered in detail.
12. To mentor, guide and develop Process Engineers and provide career path e.g. Provide external/internal training and exposure to our business industry e.g. Offshore Commissioning, Construction Site Relocation etc.
13. Provide input into the design of process facilities, utility systems and layouts of new or upgraded vessels.
14. Coordinate and work closely with other disciplines, procurement, commercial, project and operation teams to achieve the common goal of business.
15. Provide process engineering support to operations/commissioning for first oil readiness/start-up and for current operating fleet on MOCs, TQ and any improvement work.
16. Responsible as Process TA.
Job Requirements:
● Degree in Chemical Engineering.
● BEM Registration / Chartered Engineer Membership with Professional Body.
● Minimum 18 years of experience in upstream oil & gas for offshore processing facilities, FPSO topsides, etc.,
● Good hands-on experience in simulations, Heat & Mass Balance, concept selection and basic design preparation of PFD, P&ID, C&E equipment sizing and specifications.
● Good decision experience for oil stabilization gas compression, dehydration dew point central, other gas treatment processes.
● Should possess knowledge of Process Engineering codes and standards in the Oil & Gas industry.
● Able to meet the internal as well as the external client requirements with acceptable quality and within the budget and schedule.
● Experienced as Lead/Principal Process Engineer and Process TA for FPSO (or equivalent oil and gas facility) in various phases of project till start-up.
● Hands on experience dealing with Class Body for design review, certification, classification.
● Experience in managing engineering contractors and vendors.
● Experience in Operational support and troubleshooting.
Added Advantage:
● Experience in FSRU/FLNG/NGL systems on floaters etc.,
● Operations, trouble shooting, commissioning supports and process facilities optimization experience.
● Chartered Engineer Membership with Professional Body or Fellow Membership with Professional Body.
● Has exposure and knowledge on CCS, CO2, blue/green ammonia, GHG.
