Scope of Work

Job Summary

A Senior Project Engineer is a highly skilled professional responsible for leading the technical execution and coordination of complex engineering projects from conception through completion. He serves as the critical link between project management, engineering teams, and on-site execution, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with all technical specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.


Responsibility

  • Coordinate with stakeholders to define project requirements and objectives.
  • Monitor project progress to ensure successful completion.
  • Coordinate all project elements during Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation and Commissioning.
  • Anticipate any potential project risks, identifying and establishing corrective actions


Engineering Management:

  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee engineering projects from conception to completion.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, technicians, and project managers.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the project team.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
  • Troubleshoot issues during the development or implementation phases.


Procurement Management:

  • Ensure that procurement activities are aligned with project schedules and budgets.
  • Coordinate with quality assurance teams to conduct inspections and audits of supplier facilities and products.
  • Address any quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure that procurement activities are conducted in a manner that minimizes risk to the organization.


Construction Management:

  • Overseeing and managing construction projects.
  • Ensuring all construction activities comply with the industry standards, safety guidelines, and regulation.
  • Tracking construction progress with look ahead milestone to be achieved and to ensure projects are completed on time.


Coordination and Communication:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for project-related communications both internal and external related to project interface.
  • Facilitate regular project meetings and provide updates to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and ensure project alignment.
  • Lead and provide support to team members.


Work Relationship

Internal: Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation, Commissioning, Project Control Team, QAQC, HSSE, Interface, Contract and SCM Team.

External: Contractor/Vendor/3rd Party/Local Authority


Job Specification

  • At least seven (15) years’ experience in Floaters and Offshore Oil and Gas or FLNG projects
  • To be able to deal with EPCIC contractual knowledge and tactful with various entity who have different focus and priorities, both internal & external parties.
  • Strong understanding of EPCIC workflows and offshore construction practices.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Familiar working with China Contractor methodology.

Qualification:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering with minimum 15 years’ experience in offshore oil and gas industry.
  • Experience of at least two Floater projects or one FLNG project
