Job Overview:
Candidate must be a Senior/Lead Pipeline Engineer with extensive experience in Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) for both brownfield and greenfield projects across offshore and onshore oil & gas facilities. The selected candidate will lead pipeline engineering efforts for an 8-month project, focusing on design and development for offshore processing facilities. This role is open to regional expatriates and considers candidates with 8-10 years of experience, with a preference for those with recent offshore and onshore project involvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute pipeline engineering design, with a focus on FEED and detailed design phases, across offshore and onshore oil & gas processing facilities.
- Apply technical expertise in brownfield and greenfield project contexts, addressing unique challenges in both settings.
- Conduct comprehensive engineering assessments, including flow assurance, pipeline routing, material selection, and interface management, ensuring compliance with project specifications and safety standards.
- Coordinate closely with cross-functional teams (process, structural, instrumentation, etc.) to align design requirements, address brownfield and greenfield site considerations, and optimize project outcomes.
- Mentor and support junior engineers, fostering technical development and knowledge-sharing within the team.
- Prepare and review engineering calculations, data sheets, technical reports, and specifications required for FEED and detailed design phases.
- Manage project timelines and deliverables, maintaining rigorous standards of quality and safety from FEED through project completion.
- Participate in project meetings, addressing technical issues, brownfield integration challenges, and ensuring alignment of FEED deliverables with overall project goals.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years in pipeline engineering within the oil & gas sector, with solid FEED and project experience in both brownfield and greenfield settings.
- Project Requirement: Proven involvement in at least three projects over the past five years, with at least two being offshore projects.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of FEED, offshore pipeline engineering, and the specific complexities associated with both brownfield and greenfield projects.
- Software Skills: Proficiency in industry-standard software for pipeline design and analysis (e.g., AutoPIPE, CAESAR II, or similar).
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
Preferred Skills and Attributes:
- Advanced problem-solving skills with experience in addressing technical and logistical challenges across brownfield and greenfield contexts.
- Strong communication skills for effective cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards and project delivery expectations across both onshore and offshore environments.
- Regional experience is advantageous, with adaptability to work in diverse, multicultural project settings.
Contract Duration: 8 months, with potential for extension based on project needs
