Job Description:
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Process Safety Engineer to join their Project Management Consultancy (PMC) team for the pioneering Genting Project, Indonesia's first Floating Liquefied Natural Gas (FLNG) project. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a landmark project while working closely with Technip Energies, who is at the forefront of the PMC efforts.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage process safety aspects of onshore/offshore projects, with a particular focus on gas processing, LNG, and pipeline projects.
Conduct risk assessments, safety studies, and hazard analyses, ensuring all aspects of process safety are comprehensively addressed.
Collaborate with the PMC team and interface with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure safety measures align with project objectives.
Develop and implement process safety management systems, ensuring compliance with local and international safety standards and regulations.
Provide expert advice on process safety issues, mitigation measures, and risk management strategies.
Participate in design reviews, safety audits, and inspections to ensure adherence to safety protocols.
Coordinate with the engineering team to integrate process safety requirements into project design and operations.
Requirements:
A minimum of 10 years of experience in onshore/offshore projects, with at least 5 years dedicated to EPC projects.
Specific experience in gas processing, LNG, and pipeline projects is essential.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Safety Engineering, or a related field.
Professional certifications in process safety or related areas are highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of international safety standards, risk assessment methodologies, and process safety management principles.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural team environment.
Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
Work Conditions:
This position is based in Jakarta, Indonesia, and requires on-site presence.
The candidate will be part of the PMC team for the duration of the Genting Project, expected to last 3 to 4 years, starting in April 2024.
