Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Interface Engineering Manager to lead coordination across multiple engineering disciplines for FPSO projects. This role focuses on managing technical interfaces between topsides and hull, ensuring alignment across stakeholders and timely delivery of engineering outputs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead interface management across process, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation disciplines
- Coordinate with clients, EPC contractors, and vendors to resolve interface issues
- Develop and maintain:
- Interface Management Plans
- Interface registers and schedules
- Facilitate interface meetings, issue RFIs, and track resolution progress
- Identify and mitigate risks related to brownfield FPSO conversions or upgrades
- Review engineering deliverables (e.g. P&IDs, 3D models) for:
- Clashes
- Compliance with industry standards (API, ISO)
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, or related)
- Chartered Engineer status is an advantage
Experience Required
- Minimum 15 years in oil & gas industry
- At least 5 years of FPSO project experience (interface management scope)
- Proven experience within Malaysia / Southeast Asia energy sector
- Familiarity with local regulations and stakeholders is a plus
- Experience with major EPC environments preferred
Skills & Tools
- Strong expertise in:
- Interface management systems / databases
- 3D modelling tools (PDS, PDMS)
- Risk analysis
- Proficient in:
- Primavera P6
- Navisworks
- MS Office
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- PMP or equivalent certification is an advantage
