Scope of Work

Job Summary

Manages the entire coal fired power plant to ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and efficiency.


Responsibilities:

• Lead, direct and manage entire power plant O&M functions to assure entire departments as well as staff to meet the Power Purchase Agreement requirements.

• Ensure to maximize profitability of investors by ensuring prudent O&M practices and optimization to meet all targets set by management.

• Guide, lead and support managers on daily issues associated with human resources, operations, maintenance, standards, revenue enhancement and systems applications.

• Develop and implement plans, policies and programs to attain anticipated company needs in areas of functional responsibility.

• Ensure safe electricity production and operates within all applicable regulatory compliance requirements, including environmental operating permits, Electric reliability standards and company policies.

• Monitors operations for safety and efficiency; conducts field inspections of the plant to ensure normal and safe operating conditions.

• Sets organizational priorities and allocates resources to meet plant and business objectives.

• Develop and maintains strong relationships with internal and external interfaces and key strategic alliance partners.

• Ensure that a strong performance-driven culture is established and maintained at the plant with frequent engagement with employees at all levels.

• Responsible for ensuring plant is prepared and capable to meet system load requirements; ensure adequate production levels

• Prepare and manage plant budgets. Implements processes to ensure maximum asset utilization.

• Continuously monitor performance results against financial and operational goals.

• Ensure plant resources achieve annual goals and objectives for Power Generation business segment.


Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree

• Operated coal fired power plant with at least 300MW above.

• At least 7 years working experience with similar position in the power plant industry.

• In-depth experience in operating a power plant.

• Knowledge and technical expertise in power plant operations and maintenance with an

understanding of the key drivers for safe, reliable, cost effective and compliant operation.

• Regulatory knowledge (e.g. OSHA, Environmental, other...) associated with operation of a power plant

• Excellent leadership and people management skills.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

• Strong analytical skills.
