Scope of Work

Position Overview


 The ideal candidate will have an extensive background in the oil and gas sector, particularly in building relationships with key operators such as Shell, Petronas, BP, and others. You must possess strong technical knowledge in drilling services, market intelligence in Southeast Asia (SEA), and a proven track record in securing high-value contracts.


Key Responsibilities


  • Drive the sales of drilling / completion services by identifying and targeting opportunities with major oil and gas operators in SEA. These include, but are not limited to, Shell, ExxonMobil, Petronas, and Chevron.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders in major oil and gas companies. Cultivate new and existing client relationships to ensure a steady pipeline of opportunities.
  • Provide detailed market intelligence on drilling operations, specifically focusing on drilling technologies, and stay ahead of competitor offerings in the SEA region.
  • Work with clients from the conceptual phase of drilling projects to post-sale support. Provide expertise on the drilling/completion suited for each unique well environment, ensuring optimum performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Leverage in-depth technical knowledge to effectively communicate the features, advantages, and benefits of drilling technologies and services. Identify and present innovative solutions that meet customer needs and objectives.
  • Lead the preparation and submission of tenders, quotations, and proposals for new projects, ensuring that all deliverables align with client requirements and expectations.
  • Lead negotiations for long-term service agreements with key clients, ensuring optimal contract terms and maximizing revenue generation.
  • Work closely with product development, operations, and engineering teams to ensure that client requirements are translated into appropriate technical solutions.


Key Skills & Requirements


  • Minimum 10 years of sales experience in the oil and gas drilling sector.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Petroleum, or related field) or Business. Professional certification in sales or oil and gas is an added advantage.
  • In-depth technical knowledge of drilling services, drilling processes, and equipment, with a solid understanding of drilling operations and challenges in Southeast Asia.
  • Established relationships with key players in the oil and gas industry, including but not limited to Shell, BP, ExxonMobil, and Petronas. Experience dealing with drilling contractors and operators is crucial.
  • Strong negotiation, business development, and sales skills with a history of hitting and exceeding sales targets in the drilling sector.
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex technical details to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring full comprehension and buy-in for drilling technologies.
  • Experience in creating and executing strategic sales plans that result in market penetration and increased revenue.
  • Ability to manage and deliver on multiple projects simultaneously while meeting client timelines and expectations.
  • Proficiency in drilling technology, particularly with drilling and services provided by industry leaders such as Schlumberger or similar companies.
