Facilitate risk workshops including HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, Safety Design, ALARP, LOPA, and Bow Tie workshops.
Prepare risk analysis studies (qualitative, semi-quantitative, quantitative) and formal safety assessments (FSA), including MAE screening, Fire and Explosion Risk Analysis, Non-Flammable Risk Analysis (e.g., Dropped Object Risk, Ship Collision Risk), Escape Temporary Refuge, Evacuation and Rescue Analysis, Emergency Systems Survivability Analysis, ALARP Evaluations.
Develop and review safety cases and reports, including Facility Description, Safety Management System Description, FSA Description, Hazard Registers, and Bow Tie Diagrams.
Supervise and mentor junior engineers, ensuring technical guidance and consistency of delivery.
Ensure technical assurance and consistency across projects performed by the team.
Support the preparation of tenders as required.
Job Requirements:
Degree in Chemical Engineering; a Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering is advantageous.
Minimum 8 years of experience in risk and safety within the oil and gas or a similarly hazardous industry.
In-depth understanding of oil and gas risk and safety-related codes and standards.
Experience with oil and gas systems (fixed and floating production systems, subsea pipelines, drilling, onshore pipelines, onshore processing plants, offshore construction facilities, offshore accommodation facilities).
Familiarity with project development phases (front end and concept studies, FEED, detailed design, installation hookup and commissioning, operations, brownfield and greenfield projects, decommissioning and abandonment).
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in report generation and adherence to internal document control procedures.
