Job Summary
The Project Engineer will be responsible for the effective planning, coordination, and execution of project tasks, ensuring that all activities align with contract requirements and project timelines. This position involves liaising with stakeholders, managing project deliverables, and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the Project Execution Plan for tender submissions.
- Conduct weekly and daily meetings with project stakeholders and clients to ensure project alignment and contract adherence.
- Consolidate and prepare presentations for progress meetings and generate Minutes of Meeting for documentation.
- Oversee daily toolbox meetings focused on progress, quality, and safety issues.
- Issue Purchase/Service Requisitions to fulfill project requirements and ensure specifications are met.
- Prepare project progress claims for client approvals.
- Lead monthly HSE safety campaigns to promote safety awareness across stakeholders.
- Review and analyze weekly reports with project planners to track progress.
- Prepare and expedite documents and procedures for client approval.
- Develop the Method of Statement and Job Hazard Analysis as required.
- Ensure compliance with inspection standards by preparing necessary checklists.
- Manage project quality standards in alignment with specifications and Project Specific Procedures (PSP).
- Facilitate project close-out processes, including contract closure and issuance of the Notice of Final Acceptance (NFA).
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field from a recognized institution.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in engineering, preferably within the oil & gas fabrication sector.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong communication skills in both written and spoken Malay and English.
- Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders and manage multiple priorities.
- Willingness to travel as project demands.

- Hands-on experience in monitoring and managing project quality and timelines.
- Travel: Willingness and ability to travel frequently to Angola during critical phases of the project.
- Reporting Line: Reports to the Package Manager.
