Job Summary
The Offshore Installation Manager (OIM) is responsible for the overall management, safety, and operational efficiency of offshore installation activities. This role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, oversees offshore personnel, and manages installation operations to meet project objectives while maintaining high safety and performance standards.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee offshore installation activities, ensuring safe and efficient execution.
- Act as the senior authority offshore, ensuring compliance with HSE regulations and company policies.
- Coordinate with onshore teams to align installation schedules, resources, and execution plans.
- Supervise offshore personnel, ensuring effective task allocation and performance management.
- Monitor and manage offshore operational risks, implementing mitigation measures as required.
- Ensure strict adherence to permit-to-work and control-of-work systems.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies, clients, and contractors to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Report operational performance, safety incidents, and installation progress to management.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and safety in offshore operations.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Marine, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of offshore experience, with at least 5 years in an OIM role.
- Valid OIM certification and offshore survival (BOSIET/FOET) training.
- Strong knowledge of offshore installation processes, safety regulations, and risk management.
- Experience working on FPSO, fixed platforms, or offshore construction projects.
- Excellent leadership, decision-making, and crisis management skills.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as IMO, SOLAS, and local offshore regulations.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with offshore and onshore stakeholders.
