Job Summary
We are seeking an Electrical Engineer for an offshore and onshore project with a client in Brunei Darussalam. This role will support the bid phase and project execution over a 5-year period, focusing on electrical system design, installation, and maintenance to ensure project success and compliance with industry standards.
Job Responsibilities
- Design and review electrical systems for both offshore and onshore facilities.
- Provide technical support during the bid phase, including cost estimation and specification review.
- Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical equipment and systems.
- Ensure compliance with electrical standards, safety regulations, and client specifications.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate electrical systems into the overall project design.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues during installation and operation phases.
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of electrical systems to ensure reliable operation.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, reports, and electrical drawings.
- Liaise with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and quality of electrical components.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Familiar with Electrical Equipments such as Transformers, HV & LV Switchgear, MCC, Motors, UPS, LCS, Communication equipments, etc.
- Able to perform Electrical calculation such as Cable sizing/Voltage Drop calculation, Short circuit study, etc.
- Proficiency in electrical design software and tools.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, including power generation, distribution, and control systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication skills for interfacing with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
- Willingness to be based in Brunei Darussalam for the project duration.
