Main Accountabilities
KNOWLEDGE OF ROTATING EQUIPMENT
- In-depth Understanding of rotating equipment used generally in oil and gas / refinery / industries for onshore and offshore applications, and select correct types of equipment for a given process service application
- In-depth Understanding and engineering competence in hydraulics, thermodynamics, aerodynamics, rotor-dynamics, combustion etc.
- Able to predict rotating equipment performance without over dependence on Vendor
- Competent to review Vendor’s various options (including limitation and /or deviation) and provide detailed technical evaluation (TBE/TBT) of the equipment.
- Competent to review in-house and Vendor’s P&IDs and identify interfaces for the equipment
- Competent to witness the Vendor FAT / shop testing, and review test reports and provide relevant comments if any
- Competent to participate effectively to resolve any issues related to equipment testing in case of failures / deficiencies /under-performance /discrepancy during shop testing.
- Competent to provide support by responding to Site Technical Queries (STQ) regarding equipment engineering design /equipment installation / mechanical completion for field acceptance
- Competent to explore cost-saving options / energy efficient measures during project execution phase or during proposal, if requested, and if available
- Competent to actively involved in the equipment / project HAZOP and close out of any action points

FABRICATION KNOWLEDGE
- Understand fabrication process, critical element/ critical path and how its influence the delivery of equipment
- Able to anticipant effectively to improve delivery schedule of Vendor equipment
PERFORM AS LEAD ENGINEER ROLE
- Once assigned as a Lead Engineer, able to provide total commitment to meet project values, monitoring of progress for achieve delivery objective, and execute within appropriate resources
- To provide pro-activeness, creativity and efficiency in project execution
- Coordinate and plan resources for execution of project.
TECHNICAL AUDITS
- Ability to carry out technical audits at the Department Manager request (For Senior Engineer more than 10 years experience)
- Able to effectively investigate and resolve any quality complaints or incidents raised by any interested parties, or when requested by Client, or project manager.
OTHERS
- Good professional judgment, responsive and pro-active in execution of static equipment deliverables to meet project needs, and ability to handle difficult situations arise due to complexities of Project demand
- Produce quality engineering deliverables / service and meeting JV/ Client expectation
- Fulfill QA /HSE aspects, with acceptable team-works
- Able to supervise, coach and guide young Engineers
REQUIREMENTS
- The Candidate shall possess a Degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.E. Hons).
- Possess at least minimum 7 years of engineering design experiences in various rotating equipment for onshore / offshore application, preferably with experiences in Green Hydrogen, Electrolyzer and Carbon Capture Storage Projects.
