Job Summary
We are seeking a Instrument Engineer for an offshore and onshore project with a client in Brunei Darussalam. This role will support the bid phase and the 5-year project lifecycle, focusing on the design, specification, and maintenance of instrumentation systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with industry standards.
Job Responsibilities
- Design and develop instrumentation systems for both offshore and onshore applications.
- Provide technical support during the bid phase, including the preparation of specifications and cost estimates.
- Oversee the installation, calibration, and commissioning of instrumentation equipment.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and client requirements.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate instrumentation into overall project designs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve instrumentation-related issues during project execution.
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of instrumentation systems to ensure reliability and accuracy.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including data sheets, reports, and manuals.
- Liaise with suppliers and vendors to ensure quality and timely delivery of instrumentation components.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Familiarity with instrumentation and control systems.
- Strong understanding of instrumentation design principles, standards, and practices, including knowledge of relevant codes and regulations.
- Proficiency in using instrumentation design software and tools.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Excellent communication skills for interfacing with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
- Willingness to be based in Brunei Darussalam for the project duration.
