Senior Process Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical process engineering support to operations and project teams, ensuring safety, reliability, and efficiency of production systems.
• Review and validate process deliverables such as PFDs, P&IDs, heat and material balances, process datasheets, and control philosophies.
• Perform process simulations, design calculations, and operational assessments to identify opportunities for optimization.
• Conduct troubleshooting and root cause analyses for process upsets or deviations.
• Participate in HAZOP, HAZID, SIL, and process safety reviews, ensuring recommendations are properly implemented.
• Collaborate with mechanical, instrumentation, and operations teams to ensure operability and maintainability of process systems.
• Prepare concise technical reports and present findings or recommendations to the operator’s management and project stakeholders.
• Support commissioning, performance testing, and start-up activities if required.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical / Process Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in process engineering within the oil & gas industry.
• At least 5 years of experience with an operating company (Operator-side) in FPSO, FLNG, or offshore production environments.
• Strong working knowledge of HYSYS / UniSim, process safety management, and production optimization.
• Proven experience in operations support, brownfield modification, and troubleshooting of topside process systems.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to liaise effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Available for immediate mobilization for a 3-month assignment.

Preferred Attributes

• Hands-on experience with gas compression, separation, dehydration, and utilities systems.
• Familiarity with PETRONAS, Shell, or similar operator standards.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver under tight timelines and minimal supervision.
