Job Summary
Responsible for overseeing all safety activities at site, ensuring full compliance with HSE standards during port-based operations, specifically supporting Berth Zero execution scope. The role focuses on risk prevention, site enforcement, and real-time safety supervision in a high-risk marine environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and enforce HSE compliance across all site activities
- Conduct daily toolbox talks, safety briefings, and inductions
- Monitor work permits (PTW), risk assessments, and method statements
- Identify hazards and implement corrective/preventive actions immediately
- Ensure proper use of PPE and adherence to safety procedures
- Coordinate with project team, contractors, and port authorities on safety matters
- Lead incident reporting, investigation, and root cause analysis
- Maintain safety records, reports, and audit documentation
- Support emergency response planning and drills
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Occupational Safety & Health or related field
- Valid Safety certification (e.g. SHO, NEBOSH, or equivalent)
- Minimum 5 years experience in construction / oil & gas / marine / port environment
- Experience in port or marine operations is mandatory
- Strong knowledge of PTW systems, risk assessment, and HSE regulations
- Good communication and enforcement skills
