Location: Johor – Malaysia

Employment Type: Contract (6 Months)

Start Date: 1 June 2026

Job Summary

Responsible for overseeing all safety activities at site, ensuring full compliance with HSE standards during port-based operations, specifically supporting Berth Zero execution scope. The role focuses on risk prevention, site enforcement, and real-time safety supervision in a high-risk marine environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and enforce HSE compliance across all site activities
  • Conduct daily toolbox talks, safety briefings, and inductions
  • Monitor work permits (PTW), risk assessments, and method statements
  • Identify hazards and implement corrective/preventive actions immediately
  • Ensure proper use of PPE and adherence to safety procedures
  • Coordinate with project team, contractors, and port authorities on safety matters
  • Lead incident reporting, investigation, and root cause analysis
  • Maintain safety records, reports, and audit documentation
  • Support emergency response planning and drills

Requirements

  • Diploma/Degree in Occupational Safety & Health or related field
  • Valid Safety certification (e.g. SHO, NEBOSH, or equivalent)
  • Minimum 5 years experience in construction / oil & gas / marine / port environment
  • Experience in port or marine operations is mandatory
  • Strong knowledge of PTW systems, risk assessment, and HSE regulations
  • Good communication and enforcement skills
