Scope of Work

DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITY AND RESULT EXPECTATION


QC Inspector for Mechanical Rotating equipment is responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of rotating mechanical equipment in industrial settings, particularly in the oil and gas industry. This role involves a range of duties to maintain high-quality standards and ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards, regulations

and codes, and he/she has responsibility and authority for :


  • Support Lead QA/QC to control Contractor /Vendor to implementation of Quality Management System, Construction and all functions to establish Project quality
  • documentation, such as : Quality Plan, Quality Procedures & Field Inspection Test Plan, etc.
  • Inspect mechanical rotating equipment to verify dimensional accuracy, material quality, and workmanship.
  • Verify design specifications to check compliance with contract, approved drawings, specifications, and regulations.
  • Examine welds and joints: Ensure correct welding procedures and techniques
  • Component Inspection, e.g., bearings, seals, couplings etc.
  • Monitoring testing functional testing, e.g., performance, efficiency etc.
  • Supports the Lead QA/QC to controlling the overall quality activities of Construction activity
  • Ensuring that the tests, controls and inspections are carried out cutting, fit up, welding, NDT (if any) and also documented in accordance with the Project Requirements
  • Inspect piping and tubing to verify correct installation and testing.
  • Identify any defects/non-conformities, documented and report deviations.
  • Check surface preparation prior painting and painting application to verify correct application and also documented in accordance with the Project Requirements
  • Manage documentation with Contractor: Maintain accurate records of QA/QC activities, inspection reports, and certification documents.
  • Supporting Lead QA/QC in relations with the Meeting with Construction Installation & Commissioning (CIC) Contractor


1. Education & Experienced

- Minimum Bachelor degree of Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Welding

Engineering, or related field, with Ten (10) years inspection experience in EPC

and/or equivalent facilities / Project, He/She shall be able to read, write and speak

English Language.

- Experience in manufacturing, fabrication, construction in oil and gas industries


2. Requirements - Qualified Welding Inspector CSWIP 3.1 Certificate, API 610/611/612 Certificate, ASNT Level II (RT, MT, PT, UT) or equivalent is advantage

- Familiarity with global standards and regulation (ASTM, ASME, AWS, ISO, NACE

Etc.)


3. Skills - Proficient in quality data and quality reporting with good skills in MS Office, especially for MS Excel, MS Word and MS Power Point.

- Good analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
