Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Site Engineer with 5–7 years of hands-on exposure in geotechnical or foundation-related projects. This role will be responsible for overseeing and executing site-based construction activities including piling, ground improvement, and soil retention systems. The successful candidate will coordinate technical implementation, ensure compliance to design specifications, and uphold safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, supervise, and execute geotechnical site works such as bored piling, ground anchors, soil nails, micro piling, stone columns, and grouting works.
- Interpret construction drawings and method statements for implementation on site.
- Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, and internal engineering teams to ensure alignment on design and execution.
- Monitor work progress, manage resources, and ensure adherence to project schedules.
- Ensure all works are carried out in compliance with QA/QC protocols and statutory safety regulations.
- Maintain comprehensive site records including site diaries, RFI submissions, and progress reports.
- Assist with cost control and support the commercial team in verifying site quantities and subcontractor claims.
- Coordinate inspections with consultants and regulatory authorities.
- Lead toolbox meetings and site safety briefings.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
- 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in ground engineering or heavy civil site supervision.
- Familiar with geotechnical systems, foundation construction methods, and ground investigation procedures.
- Proficient in technical drawing interpretation and AutoCAD.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, capable of managing subcontractors and site personnel.
- Willing to travel and work at project sites across Malaysia.
Preferred Certifications
- CIDB Green Card (compulsory)
- OGSP / BOSIET (added advantage)
