Perform detailed engineering and design of HVAC systems for various topside modules, accommodation blocks, and technical areas onboard the FPSO.
Develop and review HVAC design documents such as heat load calculations, ducting & piping layouts, HVAC equipment data sheets, and material specifications.
Interface with Process, Electrical, Instrumentation, Safety, and Structural disciplines to ensure HVAC design alignment with project requirements.
Participate in vendor package reviews, FATs, and coordination with suppliers for HVAC equipment (e.g., AHUs, chillers, ventilation fans, dampers).
Ensure compliance with international standards (e.g. ASHRAE, ISO 15138, ABS, DNV) and project-specific codes.
Support procurement activities, including technical bid evaluations and vendor clarifications.
Collaborate with site or fabrication teams for constructability and support commissioning readiness.
Attend internal and external design reviews, HAZOPs, and model reviews.
Key Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
8+ years of experience in HVAC engineering, preferably with EPC contractors or offshore oil & gas projects.
Minimum 2 FPSO projects exposure preferred.
Familiar with HVAC load calculation software (e.g. HAP, TRACE) and AutoCAD/AVEVA E3D/Navisworks for layout reviews.
Strong knowledge of classification society requirements (ABS, DNV, BV).
Effective communication and coordination skills.
Able to work onsite in Kuala Lumpur from June 2025.
