JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking an experienced Buyer to join our client’s team for an FPSO project based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, with a strong background in procurement and supply chain management within the energy industry. RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Manage the procurement process for the FPSO project, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and

services.

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure reliable supply chains.

- Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers to achieve the best value for the project.

- Coordinate with project managers and engineers to understand and meet project-specific procurement needs.

- Monitor and manage supplier performance, ensuring compliance with contract terms and project requirements.

- Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers and evaluate market trends.

- Prepare and present procurement reports and updates to project stakeholders.

- Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and relevant regulations.

- Resolve any issues or discrepancies related to procurement in a timely and efficient manner.

- Collaborate with the logistics team to ensure smooth delivery and storage of procured items.

REQUIREMENTS:

- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, preferably within the energy or oil and gas industry.

- Strong knowledge of procurement processes and best practices.

- Proven experience in managing supplier relationships and negotiating contracts.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Familiarity with FPSO projects and their specific procurement needs is an advantage.
