Overview
We are seeking a Senior Petroleum Engineer to support subsurface engineering and completion technology applications within a client-facing technical environment. The role will focus on dynamic reservoir simulation, nodal analysis, well performance modelling, and production optimisation to evaluate and enhance the performance of advanced completion technologies including ICD and AICD systems. The successful candidate will work closely with reservoir engineers, production technologists, and client technical teams to deliver simulation studies, optimisation recommendations, and technical advisory support across regional assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform dynamic reservoir simulation, nodal analysis, and well performance modelling using commercial engineering software
- Evaluate and optimise advanced completion technologies including ICD, AICD, intelligent completions, and flow control systems
- Conduct production optimisation studies, history matching, and post-installation performance analysis
- Support technical studies related to reservoir behaviour, inflow control, and production enhancement opportunities
- Gather and analyse subsurface and production data from client assets for engineering evaluation
- Prepare technical reports, simulation studies, and engineering recommendations for internal and client presentations
- Act as technical advisor to clients on completion technology applications and subsurface optimisation strategies
- Liaise with internal engineering, operations, and business development teams to support project execution and opportunity development
- Support technical discussions, workshops, and presentations with regional clients and stakeholders
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers where required
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Petroleum Engineering, Reservoir Engineering, or related discipline
- Minimum 3–6 years of experience in Petroleum Engineering, Reservoir Engineering, Production Technology, or Subsurface Engineering
- Hands-on experience with dynamic reservoir simulation and well modelling
- Proficiency in Petrel, Eclipse, PROSPER, GAP, or equivalent modelling software
- Experience with nodal analysis, production optimisation, and history matching
- Exposure to completion technologies such as ICD, AICD, intelligent completions, sand control, or flow control systems is preferred
- Strong understanding of subsurface engineering workflows including reservoir, production, and completion integration
- Experience in technical client engagement, engineering presentations, and advisory support
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and client-driven environment
