1. KEY OBJECTIVES
As the Senior Engineer reporting to the Head of Shallow Water Development Project with the prime areas of responsibility is to project manage the project(s) assigned, including interface management, benchmarking and project value processes, change management, risk assessment and all project execution related activities. Implement Central Processing Platform (CPP) and Wellhead Platform construction and installation in accordance with PTTEP Standard and Specification.
2. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Responsible for overall project (s) execution including in the areas of Field Development Planning, Strategy and Plans, MPM & Partner Interface, Implementation Project Management Processes, Change Procedures, Front End Engineering, Detail Engineering, Fabrication, Installation and Commissioning through close out of Oil and Gas offshore facilities.
• Responsible for project management for central processing platform and wellhead platform construction in terms of:
a. Preparation and revision of technical program, bid proposal and project activities.
b. Response to technical issues and problems
• Work with the Operations group to coordinate activities between Project Team, contractors and receive Operations and Maintenance (O&M) organization to ensure an efficient hand-over of facility related documentation (facility drawings, installation plans, commissioning procedures etc.).
• Execute project at sites which cover:
a. Project implementation and coordination with all parties for installation and facility start-up
b. SSHE and Quality Assurance/Quality Control in compliance with regulatory requirements and standards.
c. Contractors’ performance supervision
d. Preparation of project closeout with complete documentation and handover to assets
e. Support on hook-up and commissioning activities.
• Maintain weekly/monthly progress reports.
• Serve as steward of the interface management plan by working with key contacts within the project team in order to ensure interfaces are prioritized to achieve project objectives.
• Review and approve designs and contract changes or change orders under your authority.
3. KEY AUTHORITIES
As the Senior Engineer KL Office based, free to act within the authorities granted by the Head of Shallow Water Development Project
Section and under the directives from the Corporate Office.
Budgetary authorities will be within those limits specified by the Head of Malaysia
Engineering and Construction Development.
Ensuring that all project activities comply with all COMPANY, PETRONAS, and
Government requirements and regulations.
4. SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities are:
The Health & Safety and welfare of all persons engaged on, or related to any site project work being undertaken by COMPANY. In particular COMPANY personnel, staff, contracted and visitors, including third parties, understanding and following company OH&S procedures.
5. WORKING RELATIONSHIP
• Malaysia Engineering and Construction Department Team personnel.
• Good relations must be maintained with personnel on all facilities and Kuala Lumpur office.
• Must be a Team player and capable of communicating technical issues across all other disciplines.
6. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Mandatory
• Bachelors Degree in relevant Engineering discipline.
• At least 5 years’ experience in project management services and engineering management in Oil and Gas Engineering & Construction projects; topside fabrication and construction.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills in both written and oral.
• Ability to work as a team member in a multi-disciplinary team.
• Ability to manage information and knowledge.
