Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Electrical Engineer to oversee the electrical engineering scope for offshore and onshore oil & gas projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in FEED, detailed engineering, and EPC projects, ensuring the delivery of high-quality engineering solutions while complying with industry standards and client specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
1.Lead the electrical engineering discipline across various project phases, from FEED to detailed design and construction.
2.Develop and review single-line diagrams, power distribution systems, load calculations, cable routing, grounding, and lighting systems for offshore platforms, FPSOs, and onshore facilities.
3.Ensure compliance with international standards such as IEC, IEEE, API, NFPA, ATEX, NORSOK, and client specifications.
4.Prepare specifications, data sheets, and procurement packages for HV/LV switchgear, transformers, generators, UPS systems, motors, and hazardous area classification.
5.Oversee and validate power system studies including short circuit analysis, load flow, arc flash, and transient stability studies using tools such as ETAP, SKM, or DIgSILENT.
6.Work closely with process, mechanical, instrumentation, and structural teams to ensure electrical systems integration.
7.Review vendor documents, participate in FAT (Factory Acceptance Tests), and provide technical support to procurement and construction teams.
8. Assist in pre-commissioning, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities when required.
Qualifications & Experience:
1.Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
2.Chartered Engineer status (CEng, PE) is an advantage.
3.Minimum 15+ years of experience in electrical engineering for offshore and onshore oil & gas, FPSO, and EPC projects.
4.Proven track record in FEED, detailed design, and commissioning phases.
5.Experience working with engineering consultancies, EPC contractors, or operators.
6.Proficient in ETAP, SKM, DIgSILENT for power system analysis.
7.Strong knowledge of HV/LV power distribution, electrical protection, and hazardous area classification.
8.Familiarity with subsea and topside electrical design is an advantage.
9.Strong leadership and project management capabilities.
10.Excellent communication and coordination skills.
