Scope of Work

Job Summary

The Crane Operator is responsible for safely operating mobile cranes and lifting equipment to support construction, marine, piling, and heavy lifting activities at project sites. The role ensures all lifting operations are carried out in accordance with approved lifting plans, site safety requirements, and company procedures. The candidate must be experienced in operating cranes within construction or heavy industrial environments and capable of working closely with riggers, signalmen, supervisors, and site teams to ensure safe and efficient lifting execution.


Key Responsibilities

  • Operate mobile cranes safely and efficiently during lifting and material handling activities.
  • Perform pre-start inspections and daily checks on crane equipment before operations.
  • Ensure crane operations comply with approved lifting plans, load charts, and safety procedures.
  • Coordinate closely with riggers, signalmen, lifting supervisors, and site personnel during lifting activities.
  • Monitor crane stability, load limits, weather conditions, and ground conditions before and during operations.
  • Conduct routine maintenance checks and report any defects, malfunctions, or unsafe conditions immediately.
  • Support loading, unloading, positioning, and movement of construction materials and equipment.
  • Ensure all lifting accessories and rigging equipment are properly used and inspected.
  • Maintain accurate equipment inspection and operational records.
  • Adhere strictly to HSE policies, toolbox meetings, PTW requirements, and site safety regulations.


Job Requirements

  • Minimum SPM / Technical Certificate or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience operating cranes in construction, infrastructure, marine, oil & gas, or heavy industrial projects.
  • Valid Crane Operator License / Competency Certificate recognized in Malaysia.
  • Valid CIDB Green Card.
  • Familiar with lifting safety standards, lifting plans, and crane load charts.
  • Experience working in port, marine, piling, geotechnical, or heavy lifting environments is an added advantage.
  • Good safety awareness, communication, and coordination skills.
  • Able to work in outdoor and site-based environments with extended working hours when required.
