We are seeking experienced Winch Operators with expertise in FPSO hook-up operations for short-term rotational assignments. The Winch Operator will be responsible for operating winches and other lifting equipment during FPSO hook-up activities, ensuring safe and precise handling of loads in compliance with industry standards and company procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate winches and other lifting equipment during FPSO hook-up operations, including the handling and positioning of heavy loads.
- Coordinate with Deck Foreman, riggers, and other crew members to execute lifting operations safely and efficiently.
- Monitor the performance of winches and related equipment, conducting pre-operation checks and routine maintenance to ensure operational readiness.
- Follow safety protocols and operational procedures to minimize risks during lifting and positioning activities.
- Communicate effectively with the deck crew, providing clear signals and instructions during operations.
- Participate in toolbox talks, safety briefings, and risk assessments to maintain a high level of safety awareness.
- Report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or incidents to the Deck Foreman or relevant supervisor immediately.
- Assist with other deck operations as required, contributing to the overall success of the FPSO hook-up activities.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Winch Operator in FPSO hook-up operations or similar offshore environments.
- Strong knowledge of winch operations, including safe load handling and positioning techniques.
- Familiarity with offshore safety regulations and the ability to operate equipment in compliance with industry standards.
- Valid offshore certifications (e.g., BOSIET, HUET) and a valid offshore medical certificate.
- Ability to work under pressure and in challenging offshore conditions while maintaining a high standard of safety.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
