Scope of Work

The Telecommunication Engineer will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of telecommunication systems, ensuring they meet the project’s technical requirements and adhere to industry standards. This role requires extensive experience in telecommunication systems used in large-scale projects, including network design, fiber optics, radio communications, and security systems.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and review designs for telecom systems, including network architecture, fiber optics, and wireless communications.
  2. Ensure telecom systems are integrated with other project systems and meet project requirements.
  3. Prepare technical specifications and evaluate vendors for telecom equipment.
  4. Review and approve vendor documentation for compliance with project specifications.
  5. Oversee the installation and commissioning of telecom systems, ensuring adherence to design specifications.
  6. Provide technical guidance and resolve issues during installation.
  7. Develop and implement test plans to ensure telecom systems meet performance standards.
  8. Coordinate integration with other systems and troubleshoot issues.
  9. Support project planning and monitor progress related to telecom activities.
  10. Assist in managing risks and provide updates on telecom engineering status.
  11. Ensure telecom systems comply with international standards and project quality plans.
  12. Maintain adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.


Qualifications & Experience:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in telecom engineering within the EPC sector.
  3. Proven experience in designing, installing, and commissioning telecom systems for large-scale projects.
  4. Experience in the energy, oil & gas, or industrial sectors is highly desirable.
  5. Proficiency in telecom engineering software and tools such as CAD, network design software, and signal analysis tools.
  6. Strong knowledge of fiber optics, radio communications, networking protocols, and security systems.
  7. Familiarity with relevant international standards such as ITU, IEC, and IEEE.
  8. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  9. Willingness to travel and work on-site as required by the project.
  10. Strong commitment to safety, quality, and environmental standards.
