Job Summary
Responsible for executing welding and fabrication works on site to support project activities. Ensures all welding tasks meet required specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements in a port or marine environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform welding activities (e.g. SMAW, GTAW, FCAW depending on scope)
- Read and interpret technical drawings and welding procedures (WPS)
- Ensure weld quality meets project and inspection standards
- Carry out fabrication, repair, and modification works as required
- Inspect welds and coordinate with QA/QC for approvals
- Maintain welding equipment and consumables
- Follow all site safety procedures and PPE requirements
- Support urgent repair works when needed
Requirements
- Relevant welding certification (e.g. 3G/4G or equivalent)
- Minimum 3–5 years welding experience in construction, marine, or oil & gas
- Experience in structural or piping welding is an advantage
- Ability to read drawings and WPS documents
- Good understanding of welding safety practices
- Physically fit and able to work in demanding site conditions
